This article presents a detailed biomechanical analysis of the snatch lift, one of the most technically complex competitive exercises in weightlifting. The study aims to identify the key kinematic and dynamic parameters that determine the efficiency and safety of exercise performance at different levels of athletic mastery.
The research examines the main phases of the motor action, including the starting position, pull, explosion phase, drop under the barbell, and fixation. Particular attention is paid to the temporal distribution between phases, since the findings indicate that the existing duration of certain stages does not ensure an optimal rhythm of the lift. Disturbances in interphase temporal relationships reduce force output during critical moments of the lift and increase the likelihood of technical errors, thereby negatively affecting competitive performance.
Based on the analysis of the athlete’s body angular parameters, it was established that deviations in the knee, hip, and ankle joint angles from biomechanically optimal values significantly limit the ability to generate maximal muscular force. In this regard, the author substantiates the necessity of purposeful correction of angular characteristics at each stage of the barbell lift in order to create the most advantageous musculoskeletal position.
The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of directly integrating the proposed recommendations into the training process. Adjustment of the temporal rhythm of movement phases and optimization of joint angles can improve the technical efficiency of the snatch, enhance performance outcomes, and reduce the risk of injuries. The obtained data may be of interest to coaches, elite athletes, and specialists in the fields of sports biomechanics and physical conditioning.
