In the article, the author gives a brief summary of the history of the emergence and development of teaching methods and describes some of the leading methods recognized by scientists at different times. Furthermore the author, analyzing the teaching methods used in the educational process in the 1930’s of the last century, notes that teachers-methodologists approached this problem seriously as was required by their time period. Finally, the author concludes that the analysis of the methodological heritage of Professor K.Zhubanov helps to thoroughly understand the current state, development prospects and historical continuity in the teaching of the Kazakh language.
