With the growth of the world economy and the world's population, the need for energy resources
has increased dramatically. Suffice it to say that over the past quarter-century, the world's total energy consumption has
increased by 56%.
As of the end of 2019, the total installed capacity of Kazakhstan's power plants is 22,936 MВ (+4.7%), and the
available capacity is 19,329 MW (+2.3%). According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the
average annual growth rate of electricity production in 2020-2025 will be 3.0%. At the same time, consumption is
expected to grow by 1.9% per year and increase from 110.1 billion rubles. kWh in 2020 to 120.9 billion. kWh in 2025.
This indicates the need to introduce energy-saving technologies and improve energy efficiency in Kazakhstan.
