This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the artistic manifestations of psychologism in Kazakh literature. Since the core of any literary work is the human being, the study examines various methods of representing psychological processes unfolding within a character’s inner world. Considerable attention is given to how the protagonist’s emotional depth, spiritual state, and hidden experiences influence the reader’s perception. Exploring the nature of psychologism has become one of the most complex and significant theoretical and practical issues in contemporary literary studies and criticism.

As literature is an art form that reveals human personality, a writer’s primary task is to depict the character’s spiritual world, emotional reactions, worldview, and internal contradictions in an aesthetically meaningful way. The key function of psychologism is to preserve the balance between factual reality and artistic truth. The article therefore analyzes the interaction of such aspects as individualization and generalization, the correlation between factual evidence and artistic imagination, and the role of the author’s perspective within the text.

To identify how subtle psychological states, moral values, and spiritual integrity are conveyed through inner experiences, the works of Äbish Kekilbayev and Tolen Abdikov are taken as primary material. The research employs analytical and synthetic methods, systematization, content analysis, and descriptive approach.

The findings contribute to defining the specificity of psychologism in literary texts and can serve as supplementary teaching material for university-level courses in «Theory of Literary Text».
