The article is devoted to the study of the spatial distribution, genetic diversity, ecological features, and conservation status of the eastern pasqueflower (Pulsatilla patens (L.) Mill.) in Kazakhstan. Using literature analysis and geoinformation modeling based on GBIF data and the GeoCat tool, the known occurrence points of the species were systematized. A significant discrepancy was established between the vast extent of occurrence (1,063,881.798 km²) and the extremely small actual area of occupancy (392 km²), indicating substantial spatial population fragmentation. P. patens prefers open, well-lit areas and occurs across a wide range of ecosystems, from pine-birch forests to dry steppes. Genetic studies of populations in Northern Kazakhstan demonstrated high levels of polymorphism. However, low expected heterozygosity values point to risks of inbreeding depression and the threat of local phytocenosis isolation. Given that the southern boundary of the species' range passes through Kazakhstan, along with its vulnerability to anthropogenic pressures and official inclusion in Category II of the Red Data Book of Kazakhstan, the necessity of regular monitoring, comparative gene pool analysis, and the development of comprehensive practical measures for the effective conservation of rare steppe populations is substantiated.
