This article examines the pedagogical potential and effectiveness of using artificial intelligence-based virtual assistants in the educational process. In the context of modern digital transformation, the introduction of innovative technologies into the education system has become one of the key priorities. In this regard, AI-based virtual assistants are considered an effective tool for modernizing the learning process, taking into account the individual characteristics of learners, and improving the quality of education. The article analyzes the main functions of modern AI assistants used in education. In particular, they can explain learning materials, provide prompt responses to students’ questions, assess assignments, analyze learning achievements, and create individualized learning trajectories. In addition, virtual assistants support students’ independent learning and ensure continuous access to educational resources. The study employed methods such as theoretical analysis, comparative review, and systematization of scientific literature. The results show that AI-based virtual assistants are an effective tool for personalizing learning materials, providing immediate feedback, and increasing students’ cognitive engagement. These technologies contribute to improving the quality of education and developing the digital learning environment.
