This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the issue of leadership development among young people in the context of contemporary socio-economic changes and globalization processes. The study examines the theoretical foundations and historical evolution of leadership, substantiating the view that leadership is not only an innate trait but also a skill developed through education, social experience, and targeted psychological interventions. The social and psychological factors of leadership are identified, highlighting the interconnection between self-awareness and intrinsic motivation, the influence of the social environment, and the role of innovative pedagogical methods in educational institutions. The article thoroughly analyzes the pathways of leadership development and its main types (transactional, transformational, and servant leadership), revealing their role in fostering social activity and civic responsibility among young people. In addition, the effectiveness of psychological methods such as emotional intelligence development, reflection, coaching, mentoring, group training, and business games in enhancing youth leadership potential is demonstrated through concrete educational practices and examples. The research findings indicate that the development of leadership abilities among young people is a comprehensive process grounded in theoretical knowledge, social experience, and psychological support. The content of the article emphasizes the importance of leadership development in the modern education system and substantiates its contribution to the personal and professional growth of young people, as well as to strengthening the intellectual and social potential of society.
