The article examines specific aspects of the poetics of the fairy-tale genre. It is noted that the poetic features of fairy-tale narration vary according to the individual characteristics of storytellers, which is typical for this genre. This assumption can be verified through a comparative analysis of the plot structures of various tales. The paper identifies the general laws inherent in the poetics of the fairy-tale genre and highlights key elements that reveal the typological similarities of the fairy tales of Turkic peoples.

The common motifs characteristic of the Turkic fairy-tale tradition stem from typological features of ancient and later customs, norms, and traditions. In the rich folklore heritage of many peoples of the world, motifs tracing back to archaic forms of family relations have been preserved, functioning as narrative-driving elements in the fairy tales of Turkic peoples as well. Through processes of mutual influence and cultural interaction, ancient motifs and сюжет patterns evolved, acquired new meanings, and tendencies found in other cultures penetrated into local models of fairy-tale poetics, giving them a distinctive artistic colouring.

In conclusion, the study emphasizes that the typological similarities in the fairy tales of Turkic peoples can be comprehensively examined either through their plot and motive structures or through their system of poetic elements and imagery. This article focuses only on several aspects of this extensive subject.
