In the context of rapid digital transformation of all spheres of public life, digital educational resources (DER) are becoming increasingly important as the most important tool for improving the quality of education, ensuring the availability of knowledge and developing digital competencies among students. The use of DER in teaching computer science is especially relevant, since this discipline forms basic skills in working with information technology, develops logical thinking, algorithmic thinking and the basics of programming. The article examines in detail the current state and features of the introduction of DER in the educational process in comprehensive schools and higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. The key problems that hinder the effective use of digital tools are identified: poor technical equipment, a shortage of localized digital materials in the Kazakh language, as well as insufficient digital competence and methodological training of teachers. Despite the successes achieved in digitalization, there remains a need for a systemic and comprehensive modernization of the educational environment. The article offers a number of practical recommendations for improving the situation, including the development of the material and technical base, the creation of high-quality digital resources taking into account national characteristics and the implementation of advanced training programs for teaching staff. The material may be useful for researchers, teachers, developers of digital educational technologies and specialists in the field of educational policy.
