The article provides a comprehensive linguo-poetic, cognitive, and semantic study of the functional and semantic nature of emotional vocabulary in Chingiz Aitmatov's world-famous novella «Jamila». The aesthetic function and pragmatic impact of linguistic units in conveying the characters' inner psychological experiences, emotional nuances, and spiritual searches within the literary text are thoroughly analyzed. In the course of the research, the author classifies the lexico-semantic fields of «joy», «sadness», «protest», and «love», defining their text-forming role and conceptual significance for the structure of the work.

To fully reveal the anthropocentric paradigm and national artistic perception of the author's prose, methods of contextual-semantic analysis, linguo-stylistic description, connotative interpretation, and psychological parallelism were effectively applied. As a result, the stylistic functions of the semantics of silence, dynamic vocabulary, somatic phraseological units, and oxymorons in creating the characters of Daniyar and Jamila are comprehensively substantiated. Furthermore, the harmony between nature descriptions and the inner feelings of the characters is proved from a linguo-poetic perspective.

The theoretical and practical significance of the wide application of the article's theoretical conclusions and analytical materials in higher education institutions for teaching courses on the linguistic analysis of literary texts, linguopoetics, cognitive linguistics, and text linguistics, as well as in special scientific seminars for undergraduate and graduate students of philological faculties and in linguodidactic processes, is clearly demonstrated.
