In the context of the digital transformation of the economy, the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in Kazakhstan’s financial system is of particular importance. The use of intelligent algorithms provides new opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce transaction costs, and ensure the transparency of financial processes. The article examines the main areas of AI application in the banking and financial sectors, including automated credit scoring, risk management, fraud prevention, the development of digital banking, and the provision of personalized financial services.

A comparative analysis of international practices in the use of AI in the financial sector is carried out, and prospects for its integration into the national financial infrastructure are identified. Particular attention is given to the digital tenge project, initiatives of the Astana International Financial Centre, and the potential of AI to enhance regulatory and supervisory functions. Alongside the advantages, the study also highlights challenges such as cybersecurity threats, personal data protection, the lack of unified regulatory standards, and a shortage of skilled specialists.

The findings demonstrate that comprehensive AI adoption can significantly increase the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s financial system at the global level, ensuring its resilience and innovative development. The article concludes with practical recommendations aimed at accelerating digital transformation and strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in the international financial architecture.
