This article continues the study of the works that made up the art fund of Kazakh graphic art of the
20-30s of the XX century.
Researchers connect the formation of the national school of art with the arrival of Russian artists in
Kazakhstan. First of all, the invaluable influence of N.G. Khludov, who arrived in 1879, then N. Krutilnikov, F.
Bolkoev, V. Kapterev, A. Ponomarev, M. Gaidukevich came to Kazakhstan in the 20s.
An analysis of the fine arts of the 1920s, despite the fragmentation of artistic experiments and the absence of
traditions, allows, nevertheless, to reveal the prerequisites for the formation of professional art, to establish the ways
of influence of Russian realistic tradition, the origins of national art.
This task is all the more relevant because watercolor and graphics have not yet been the subject of special
study. Thus, an attempt to explore the commonality of watercolors and graphics as part of fine art makes up for the
poorly studied period of motherland culture.
