Integrated assessment of tourist recreational potential is necessary for the implementation of initial studies to determine the characteristics of tourist development of the territory, the ordering of heterogeneous information on the provision of tourist resources. In addition, it acts as an initial information base for strategic planning of tourist business. Resource approach to the study of the economic essence of tourism and recreation began to excite the first researchers in the formation of science. At present, the basic scientific and methodological provisions of the resource principle of research of tourist and recreational processes are formed. Over the years, the diversity of the resource base of tourism and recreation, which is the subject of intensive research at the regional level, should be appreciated. Most researchers are of the opinion that resources are defined as currently or in the future used objects and phenomena of a particular territory, the potential is the totality of these resources and the impact of all other environmental conditions (natural, economic). This context prevails among geographers with a share of deviations depending on the objectives of the study and allows you to compare the potential of one territory with similar resources with others.
