This article is devoted to the actual issue of the transition of the national health system to a new
model of compulsory social health insurance. The publication shows the role, significance and influence of the
healthcare industry on the economic development of the state. The author's model of the impact of the health sector on
the country's economic growth is presented. The advantages of the new Kazakhstan model of compulsory social health
insurance are considered. Scientific and practical recommendations on the issues of financing health care in Kazakhstan
are given.
