This article explores the features of socialization of Kazakhstani youth as a demographic group in the population from 15 to 29 years old. The role of youth in ancient eastern civilizations is emphasized. The attitude to youth from the state and society at various stages of national history is studied. The social significance of youth groups in the Soviet period of the history of Kazakhstan is shown. Also, the main trends in youth policy in the republic were studied. The analysis of the most urgent life difficulties of modern Kazakhstani youth and ways out of them. In general, the attention of the state to the problems of domestic youth is shown.
