The article examines the features of the embodiment of the image of the poet in the world and Tatar
literature. On lyric works of poets like F. Schiller, A. S. Pushkin, M. Y. Lermontov, N. Nekrasov, G. Tukai, R. Faizullin
and other the author concludes that this way, often acting as a prophet, as Chatel interests of the people of a nation
embodies its era. Often the poet-prophet is an image opposed to the crowd, the owner of true knowledge, asserting love
and justice as basic values. Analysis of G. Tukai's lyrics helps to identify the poet's creative influences of Western and
Russian literature and some innovative qualities. The poet-prophet Tukaya is both a bearer of truth, a fighter, and a
citizen. In the future, Tukay, as the owner of all the qualities of a poet-prophet, becomes the Central image of many
lyrical works.
