The article examines the problem of designing an ethnopedagogical tourist route for children based on the natural and cultural heritage of Kargaly District. The aim of the study is to determine the possibilities of using the natural, historical-cultural and ethnographic potential of Kargaly District for the development of children’s ethnotourism and to develop an ethnopedagogical tourist route for schoolchildren. The study involved an analysis of the tourist sites of Kargaly District, with their educational, cultural and ethnopedagogical potential identified. A survey of schoolchildren was also conducted to determine their interest in national values, local history and tourist routes. Based on the results obtained, the author’s ethnopedagogical tourist route “Kargaly Heritage” was developed. The route includes the following sites: Aktobe – Nurpeke Khaziret – Kaskyr Waterfall – Kyzyl-Tam Mausoleum – Kargaly Reservoir – “Rukh” Ethno-village. The structure and content of the route, its schedule, and the educational significance of each tourist site were determined. The developed cartographic model provides a visual representation of the sequence of visits to the selected sites and can be used in organizing educational and local history excursions. The proposed route contributes to increasing schoolchildren’s interest in the history of their native region, national values, traditions and cultural heritage, as well as to developing their environmental awareness. The results of the study can be used in school local history activities, extracurricular educational programs and the organization of children’s ethnotourism.
